not-claudius asked: Thanks for reblogging the quote on Proust. I'm a huge fan of Walter Benjamin; his work is one reason I'd like to leave law to pursue comparative literature.

I know it doesn't get as much "play" as The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction, but I always found his The Origin of German Tragic Drama to be a seminal work, especially in the narrative...
